Business Development Manager - International Markets (Technical Services)

Reports To: CEO

Role Summary:
We're seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to spearhead our client's international market expansion for their Technical Services Division. This strategic position will drive new business acquisition, manage lead generation efforts, and represent the company globally. The ideal candidate combines technical engineering expertise with strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development:
- Design and implement international market penetration strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Target and cultivate relationships with OEMs, EPCs, system integrators, and industrial end-users
- Qualify and convert inbound leads while ensuring seamless customer onboarding
- Execute targeted outbound lead generation campaigns through strategic networking and partnerships
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers
- Create compelling, customized proposals highlighting technical service capabilities
- Negotiate favorable contract terms while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Gather and analyze competitive intelligence and market trends
Global Representation & Travel:
- Serve as the company ambassador at international trade shows and industry events
- Conduct regular customer visits and on-site meetings across target markets
- Organize and participate in strategic networking events to enhance market presence
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with technical and engineering teams to align service offerings with client needs
- Maintain comprehensive CRM documentation and deliver performance reports
- Develop region-specific go-to-market strategies for maximum impact
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in international business development for technical services
- Background in Industrial Automation, Process Engineering, or Electrical & Instrumentation preferred
Essential Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand and communicate complex engineering solutions
- Proven success expanding B2B sales in international markets
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
- Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfort with frequent international travel
- Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office suite, and digital marketing tools
