DesIDEA Software Technologies - SAP Basis Administrator (8-10 yrs)

Responsible for :

SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for managing and administering the technical aspects of SAP ECC System on Azure Cloud with Linux Operating System to ensure efficient and consistent system performance with HA (High Availability) and DR (Disaster Recovery) configuration".

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design and implement SAP systems for a company's specific business needs.

- Developing and maintaining the SAP solution strategy, architecture, and integrations

- SAP Basis Administration

- Manage SAP Basis Architecture

- Overseeing all aspects of SAP system solution implementations

- System and Data Analysis

- Troubleshooting

- Database Administration

- Client/Server Technology

- System Backup and Disaster Recovery

- High Availability

- Managing Early Watch and Go-Live checks, SAPGUI deployment

- OS space and disk management

- Upgrading SAP kernels

- Manage SAP user's roles and responsibilities

- Testing and installing SAP patches and upgrades/enhancements as required

- Work with SAP via OSS & Solution Manager to resolve technical problems and Configure Start, Default, and Instance Profiles.

- Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure configuration and development objects are promoted properly.

- Transport management: Manage transports using ChaRM

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Security and Compliance :

1. Implement and manage security policies and practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

2. Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats in a timely manner.

3. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Backup and Disaster Recovery :

1. Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.

2. Ensure regular testing and validation of backup and recovery procedures.

3. Manage and monitor Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup services.

Collaboration and Support :

1. Collaborate with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure improvements.

2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

Documentation and Reporting :

1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.

2. Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance status.

Technical Skills

1. Aadvanced technical background in Linux-based server operating systems with a minimum of 5 Years of experience Azure Cloud Administration

2. SAP ECC Functional Flows

3. Experience with SAP HANA preferred

Qualifications :

1. Proven experience as an SAP ECC Basis Administrator on Azure Cloud.

2. Knowledge of SAP system architecture and process flows.

3. Experience with database administration, backup processes, and system upgrades.

4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

8. Experience with SAP HANA preferred
