Position

Role DGM & Head Technical Training for Technical Services

Reporting to Sr GM HR – Technical Services

Location – Moraiya Plant, Ahmedabad


Pre-requisite

  • Essential Qualification - Any Life Sciences/ Pharma graduate
  • Years of Experience - Not Less than 18 years’ Experience (Good Experience in Leading and Imparting Technical Training and Production areas)
  • Must have worked in the shop-floor in production/ Mfg. for minimum 12 years
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of USFDA regulatory guidelines
  • Should have fair understanding of OE (Operational Excellence)
  • Preferred Age Group - Less than 45 years
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical formulation business.
  • Good inter-personal and leadership skills
  • Should be able to manage teams at multiple manufacturing sites.

Basic Function:

Responsible for leading overall functions of Zydus Skill Development Centre across sites, in order to boost employee workplace performance and drive professional growth within the organization.


Job Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for training need analysis for identification of training topics w.r.t technical/soft skills/behavioral topics.
  • To impart training related to product/process, cGMP and GDP, behavioral training, SOPs, QMS, Regulatory updates.
  • Provide trainings on Human assessment systems to reduce Human errors and strengthen GMP system in organization.
  • Designing training modules as per global requirements and as per Instructional Systems Design (ISD) training model.
  • Preparation of Training modules in line with the training requirements of workmen & supervisors and tracking of scheduled training and training compliance.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training gaps and develop targeted solutions to address them.
  • Planning skill development training activities of all sites through Annual calendar.
  • Appropriately modify/ create and change relevant training material.
  • Translate complex requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path.
  • Design and drive programs to enhance the skills and competencies of employees.
  • Responsible for designing and conducting Technical Skills and Knowledge assessment through technical assessment centre for professional growth of employees.
  • Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide trainings to new hires like I2I joiners.
  • Enhancing the respective process document, work instruction, format through document simplification process.
  • Providing advice and guidance to SLT and line managers on compliance training requirements w.r.t. site level.
  • Supporting site HR Head in Preparation of annual training expenditure budget and ensuring training expenditure remains within budget.
  • Other duties, which may be assigned from time to time, by reporting manager.

  • Strong passion for learning and development.
  • Excellent instructional design skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and engage with employees at all levels.
  • Creative thinker with knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.   
  • Understanding of talent management and succession planning.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues that can lead to GMP and GDP issues.
  • Ability to train and present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Stay updated on new trends and tools in employee development.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving. 
  • Ability to make timely and well-informed decisions.
