Job Description
SERVICE ENGINEER FOR RVG
Department: Service Support
Location: Company Headquarters / Remote with Travel
Job Summary:
The RVG Engineer is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of RVG (Radiovisiography) systems and other digital imaging equipment used in dental clinics. The engineer ensures optimal functioning of the systems, provides technical support, and adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure RVG systems, including digital sensors, imaging software, and related accessories in dental clinics.
- Ensure seamless integration with dental practice management systems and X-ray devices.
- Calibrate the system to ensure accurate and high-quality digital imaging.

- Maintenance:
- Perform preventive maintenance on RVG systems to prevent malfunctions.
- Regularly test equipment to ensure proper and safe functioning.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and schedules.

- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose issues with RVG systems, including sensor failures, connectivity issues, or software malfunctions.
- Repair or replace damaged or faulty components, such as sensors, cables, or system hardware.
- Coordinate with manufacturers or vendors for advanced technical support or spare parts when needed.

- Training and Support:
- Provide training to dental staff on the operation, care, and basic troubleshooting of RVG systems.
- Offer ongoing technical support to clients, either in-person or remotely, to resolve software or hardware issues.
- Advise clients on best practices for equipment handling and care to minimize future issues.

- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all RVG equipment complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations, especially radiation safety standards.
- Implement proper safety protocols during installation and repair processes.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes related to dental radiography equipment.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, service visits, and customer interactions.
- Submit service reports for each job completed, outlining work done and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Track warranties and coordinate with clients when warranties are about to expire.

- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure timely installation and support for new customers.
- Liaise with manufacturers and vendors to stay updated with new product releases, technical advancements, and repair processes.

Work Environment:
- Primarily works on-site at dental clinics or healthcare facilities.
- Some travel may be required to different customer locations.
- May involve exposure to radiation, disinfectants, and other substances commonly used in dental environments.
