Job Description
- The Supervisor Machining - EC will oversee and coordinate machining operations, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety, quality, and company standards.
- This role involves managing a team of machinists and coordinating with engineering teams to maintain workflow, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes.
- The Supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring equipment, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring compliance with production specifications.
Requirements - Team Supervision : Lead, manage, and supervise machinists and support staff, ensuring effective teamwork, quality performance, and high morale.
- Production Planning : Oversee daily production schedules and ensure efficient use of resources to meet production goals.
- Quality Control : Ensure machining operations meet established quality standards and production specifications; implement and monitor quality control processes.
- Process Optimization : Identify and implement improvements in machining operations to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.
- Equipment Maintenance : Coordinate with maintenance teams for regular equipment upkeep, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of machinery.
- Safety Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and procedures in the machining department; conduct safety audits, training, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and spare parts; coordinate with the purchasing department for replenishments.
- Technical Support : Provide technical guidance and support to the machining team, troubleshooting issues with CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other equipment.
- Documentation Reporting : Maintain accurate production records, prepare reports on productivity, downtime, and quality, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Training and Development : Train and develop machinists and apprentices on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies.
