Key Responsibilities :
Category Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the category strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Define the category roadmap, including product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
P&L Management:
- Own the category's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, and other key financial metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs.
Product and Assortment Management:
- Build a compelling and competitive product assortment tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate with product teams to improve product offerings and enhance user experience.
- Ensure the timely launch of new products and updates.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute category-specific campaigns.
- Analyze campaign performance and optimize promotional strategies.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement through targeted initiatives.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Leverage data to track category performance and customer behavior.
- Use analytics to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Purchase & Import Team/Creative & Graphics team and Digital Marketing team
- Lead and mentor a team of category managers or specialists.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals.
- Drive a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, or related roles in an eCommerce or retail environment.
- Proven track record of managing a P&L and delivering business growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools and eCommerce platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a results-driven mindset.
