Key skills for the job
1. Oversee the work of housekeeping staff by Supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards. This includes changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, mopping and dusting daily.
2. Inspect guest rooms prior to checking in.
3. Supervise room cleaning and replenishing duties.
4. Plan schedules for housekeeping staff and hand out individual work assignments.
5. Ensure training of new hires.
6. Issue supplies to housekeeping staff at the beginning of each shift
Job Expectations:1. Proficiency, preferred, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
2. Good interpersonal, communication, Listening and Leadership/People management skills. The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitasking.
3. Should have previous experience in managing a team of housekeeping employees (approx. 50+) through motivation, coaching and development.
4. Advanced knowledge of Housekeeping process and procedures. Capable of using independent judgment/excellent decision making skills.
5. Ability and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both inside and outside of the organization.
6. Preference will be given to female candidates.
Minimum Qualification: Graduation/ Diploma in Hotel Management is preferred. Minimum Job Experience: Should have 5-6 years of Experience in which at least 3 years experience in supervisory level. Reporting to: Executive Housekeeper Travel: N/AEmployment Type: Full Time, Permanent
