Position Overview
Della Adventure & Resorts is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our upscale Japanese restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and culture, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing fine dining establishments. This role demands a strong focus on guest satisfaction, staff management, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Restaurant Operations
o Oversee the daily operations of the Japanese restaurant, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
o Maintain the authenticity and quality of Japanese cuisine in collaboration with the culinary team.
o Monitor food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
2. Guest Experience
o Provide exceptional guest service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints efficiently.
o Create a welcoming atmosphere by maintaining high standards of hospitality and cultural authenticity.
o Gather and act on customer feedback to continually improve the dining experience.
3. Team Leadership
o Recruit, train, and manage a team of front-of-house and kitchen staff.
o Develop work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging team growth and performance.
4. Financial Management
o Manage the restaurants budget, including cost control for food, beverages, and labor.
o Analyze financial reports, including profit margins, sales, and expenses, to optimize revenue.
o Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and improve profitability.
5. Marketing & Promotions
o Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the Japanese restaurant through innovative campaigns and events.
o Organize special promotions, such as Omakase nights or traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, to attract customers.
6. Inventory & Vendor Management
o Maintain inventory levels for food, beverages, and other supplies.
o Build relationships with vendors to ensure the procurement of high-quality ingredients, particularly Japanese specialty items.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing fine dining restaurants, with at least 2 years specializing in Japanese cuisine.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Japanese culinary traditions, ingredients, and dining etiquette is essential.
Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in financial management and inventory control.
o Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
