Role & responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Strategic Oversight: Provide visionary leadership to ensure the institutions goals align with its mission and values. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance educational quality and institutional growth. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including faculty, administration, and external bodies, to drive school development.
2. Academic Excellence & Curriculum Development: Oversee the academic curriculum, ensuring it meets educational standards and student needs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching methodologies. Support faculty in professional development to maintain high teaching standards.
3. Administrative Management: Supervise day-to-day school operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and facility maintenance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
4. Student & Staff Development: Promote student engagement, welfare, and academic success through effective policies and programs. Guide and mentor faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Implement evaluation systems for performance assessment and professional growth.
5. Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships with parents, alumni, and community members to enhance institutional reputation. Act as a representative of the institution in educational forums and public events. Develop partnerships with organizations and stakeholders for academic and extracurricular enrichment.
6. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to educational laws, policies, and institutional guidelines. Work closely with the board of directors or governing body to align operational strategies with institutional objectives. Oversee risk management, ethical conduct, and regulatory adherence.
7. Innovation & Future Readiness: Stay abreast of emerging educational trends and integrate relevant advancements. Encourage technology adoption for administrative and academic efficiency. Lead initiatives that prepare students for future career and academic opportunities.
Preferred candidate profile:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in academic excellence and curriculum development and must have held a leadership position in the academic domain.
They should possess in-depth knowledge of the academic intricacies of an educational institution and have prior experience working in a residential school.
