Academic Principal

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:
• Provide visionary leadership to the campus, driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term academic goals and objectives.
• Oversee the daily operations of the campus, including discipline, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Build a collaborative culture among staff and maintain a professional and supportive work environment.
2. Academic Excellence:
• Ensure that the curriculum is effectively delivered and aligned with national and state standards.
• Lead initiatives to enhance student academic performance and engagement.
• Monitor and assess academic programs, making data-driven decisions to improve instruction.
• Promote the use of innovative teaching methods, technology, and best practices.
3. Teacher Support and Development:
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teachers and academic staff, providing regular feedback and opportunities for professional growth.
• Facilitate professional development and training programs for faculty.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through instructional coaching and collaborative planning.
4. Student Support and Development:
• Ensure that all students receive a quality education in a safe and supportive environment.
• Oversee student assessment, progress monitoring, and interventions for struggling students.
• Promote positive behaviour, social-emotional learning, and the overall well-being of students.
• Lead and support extracurricular activities that enhance student engagement and personal development.
5. Community and Parent Engagement:
• Build strong relationships with parents to foster collaboration and communication.
• Organize parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and other events to support student success.
• Serve as the key representative of the campus to stakeholders, including parents, community organizations, and other authorities.
6. Administrative and Operational Duties:
• Develop and manage the campus budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
• Manage campus facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for learning.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably at the intermediate or middle school level.
• Proven leadership and managerial experience within an educational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, and assessment strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of educators and support staff.
