Job Description

Position Overview:

This is a challenging and high-impact role for an individual who is passionate about building systems from scratch and eager to contribute to the growth of a company. As the Senior Executive - HR, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing HR processes, creating a positive and high-performance work culture, and driving HR transformation at our plant. Your contributions will directly shape the HR function during a period of significant organizational change and expansion.


Key Responsibilities:

Build HR Systems from Ground Up:

  • Take ownership of setting up HR systems, policies, and processes for the plant, ensuring they align with business goals and the companys vision.
  • Develop and implement essential HR functions, including employee onboarding, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
  • Introduce and implement an HRIS (Human Resource Information System) to streamline HR operations.

Talent Management & Acquisition:

  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent for the plant, including defining job roles, screening candidates, and managing the hiring process.
  • Design and implement a robust onboarding and training program to integrate new employees quickly and effectively.
  • Work closely with plant leadership to identify talent needs and provide strategic hiring solutions.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Be the first point of contact for plant employees and address concerns related to workplace culture, policies, or grievances.
  • Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement, ensuring a motivated and productive workforce.
  • Regularly interact with employees to gauge morale, address concerns, and facilitate open communication.

Training & Development:

  • Establish a training and development framework to continuously improve employee skills and performance, with a focus on technical training for plant operations.
  • Identify skill gaps and work with department heads to design targeted development programs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating knowledge sharing and leadership development.

Time & Office Management:

  • Oversee the efficient management of time and attendance systems for plant employees.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administrative and office operations, ensuring the plant functions smoothly.
  • Implement systems to monitor employee attendance, leave management, and overtime effectively.
  • Ensure all office supplies, equipment, and resources are appropriately managed and available to meet operational needs.

Strategic HR Support & Partnership:

  • Partner with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with company objectives, particularly during periods of transition and growth.
  • Offer guidance on employee performance issues, workforce planning, and other HR-related matters to drive business success.

Coordination with Head Office (HO):

  • Act as the main point of contact between the plant HR function and the Head Office (HO) for the implementation of HR systems, policies, and initiatives.
  • Ensure that plant-level HR practices are in alignment with the broader company strategy and policies developed at the HO.
  • Collaborate with HO on HR data management, reporting, and the adoption of best practices across locations

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience:
  • 4+ years of HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to set up and implement HR systems from scratch in a growing and dynamic environment.
  • A track record of solving complex HR challenges and successfully leading HR transformation initiatives.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in India, especially in the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, particularly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll management, and MS Office.
  • High degree of empathy and ability to handle sensitive HR issues with professionalism.
