About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People Operations to lead and scale our People function based in India.
This is a critical role reporting directly to the co-founders and will be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, attracting top talent, and building a high-performing team.
You will be responsible for all aspects of People Operations, ensuring we have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time, and that they are engaged, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
Responsibilities:
- Culture Champion: Build and nurture a collaborative and high-performance organization culture that reflects our values and fosters innovation, transparency, and inclusivity.
- Specifically address how this will be achieved within the context of a tech startup environment.
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract and recruit high-caliber technical resources, particularly in the cutting-edge field of AI.
- Leverage your existing network and explore new channels to identify and engage top talent in India and across the globe.
- Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor the People Operations team, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient execution of all HR programs and services.
- Full HR Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations across all DataOrb entities, subsidiaries.
- Manage vendor relationships related to payroll, benefits, and other HR services.
- Employee Engagement: Design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
- Create a positive and supportive work environment.
- Learning & Development: Develop and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and support their career growth.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with the company's overall strategy.
- HR Operations: Oversee HR systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement and optimize HR technology solutions.
Must-Have:
- 10+ years of experience in People Operations, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience building collaborative and high-performance organization culture for a tech startup.
- Extensive experience and network to recruit high-caliber technical resources for a cutting-edge AI tech startup.
- Experience across all aspects of People Operations: recruiting, payroll management, vendor management, compliance, employee engagement, learning and development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad, Pune, or Ahmedabad.
- Experience leveraging AI to boost productivity of people operations function
