Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Kibana Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing visualizations, dashboards, and alerts in Kibana, leveraging data from Elasticsearch to create actionable insights for the business. Youll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to build efficient, scalable, and intuitive solutions for real-time monitoring, analytics, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations in Kibana to meet business requirements.
• Leverage Elasticsearch to build powerful queries, aggregations, and visualizations to analyze large-scale data in real-time.
• Develop custom visualizations and extend Kibana’s capabilities with Kibana plugins when necessary.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver Kibana solutions tailored to business needs.
• Implement advanced alerting and monitoring solutions in Kibana to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Optimize performance of Kibana queries, visualizations, and dashboards to ensure low-latency data access and responsiveness.
• Work with data ingestion teams to ensure proper data mapping and indexing strategies for use with Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Troubleshoot and debug Kibana issues, providing resolutions in a timely manner.
• Develop automated scripts for the deployment and management of Kibana configurations.
• Maintain best practices for data visualization, user interface (UI) design, and dashboard usability.
• Document Kibana and Elasticsearch configurations, queries, and dashboards for internal use and end-users.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Kibana Developer, Elasticsearch Developer, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience working with Kibana, including creating dashboards, visualizations, and custom plugins.
• Proficiency in Elasticsearch, including query DSL (domain-specific language), aggregations, and indexing.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience working with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) in real-world applications.
• Familiarity with JSON, YAML, and other data formats commonly used in Elasticsearch.
• Strong proficiency in Kibana Query Language (KQL) and advanced query techniques.
• Experience with managing and optimizing Kibana and Elasticsearch clusters.
• Ability to work with REST APIs to interact with Elasticsearch and Kibana for integration and automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot performance, query, or UI issues within Kibana.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Elasticsearch and Kibana certifications (e.g., Elastic Certified Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with log aggregation and management using ELK Stack or similar tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and deploying Kibana in containerized environments.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and experience working in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with additional data analysis tools like Grafana, Splunk, or Prometheus.
• Exposure to data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or similar technologies.
