Job Overview:
The Sales Director will lead the sales division, develop and implement strategic sales plans, and oversee all aspects of the sales process. This senior leadership role requires a seasoned sales professional with 20 to 25 years of experience, including a proven track record of driving revenue growth, leading sales teams, and managing complex client relationships. The Sales Director will work closely with executive leadership to align sales strategies with business goals and ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring individual and team goals are met.
  • Set short-term and long-term sales goals, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales goals with overall business objectives.

Sales Team Management and Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing regional sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to sales representatives to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, sales training, and performance reviews to ensure alignment with sales objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and motivate the sales team through effective goal-setting, performance evaluation, and incentive programs.

Revenue Growth & Profitability:

  • Drive sales performance to achieve revenue targets while maintaining profitability margins.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, forecasting, and reporting to optimize performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Implement scalable sales processes and operational efficiencies to enhance productivity.

Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline data, and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards related to sales operations and data privacy.
  • Collaborate with other regional sales managers to share best practices, leverage synergies, and align sales strategies across regions.


Team Development and Collaboration:

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer commitments.
  • Identify and address training needs, providing opportunities for professional growth and skill development within the sales team.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 20-25 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably within the logistics, transportation, or ecommerce delivery industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a regional or territory-based sales environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong client relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software, sales tools, and data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to meet with clients, prospects, and sales teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with various sales productivity tools and technologies.
