Role & responsibilities

• A video journalist who can redefine news presentation and delivery.
• Someone who is ready to experiment with new ideas and formats. Who understands the need of a creative mix of visual, video, audio elements to produce what works best for our consumers.
• Someone who can plan original stories, designs, concepts and graphics. Someone who is a solid visual storyteller, should have a precise and interesting script-writing ability.
• A director, a producer, an executioner who has a fine understanding of all the technical aspects of visual storytelling and video set-up.
• Someone who is a teamplayer and can work closely with a written content team to make sure that every news article has a crisp, knowledgeable and well produced news video content with it.
• A Leader who can not only manage a team of video producers, video editors, graphic artists and cameraperon but also lead by example.
• A professional who can understand the trends in the industry and execute strategies for the growth of DB App.
• Someone who understands user requirements of UP & Bihar and works on planning, ideating new video properties for the same.

Preferred candidate profile

• Lots of Creative Ideas - whenever you see any content - multiple ideas pop up in your head on how you would have done it better, made it more engaging.
• Understanding of the consumer/ viewer: You should know what it is that the consumer likes today and should be in sync with trends, styles and needs of our consumer. You should have the ability to meet and have a conversation with viewers to serve them better.
• Understanding of Data - You are extremely metric driven - while you may be opinionated in your ideas, but are extremely open minded in doubling down on what works, and dropping what doesnt based on data.
• Keen eye for good Content - you should have a zeal to constantly better the quality of work you do. Being aware of competitors, trends and experiments being done in the industry should be part of your approach as a profession.
• Technically Proficiency - You need to be proficient in using multiple video, audio editing tools and in automating workflows to make the production of engaging content extremely easy.
