Stress Analysis Lead

We are seeking a Senior Aerostructure Stress Analyst to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting stress and structural analyses on aerospace components and systems to ensure they meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards. This position requires a deep understanding of structural mechanics, aerodynamics, materials science, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed static, dynamic, fatigue, Damage tolerance and failure analysis on aerostructures, including wings, fuselage, landing gear, Floor beam, Doors and other aircraft components.
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, such as HYPERMESH, NASTRAN, PATRAN ABAQUS, or ANSYS, to model and analyze structural performance under various loading conditions.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including FAA, EASA, and military regulations, and participate in design reviews.
• Experience on Airbus and Boeing Aircraft structures is an added advantage.
• Develop and validate analytical methods using excel and Macros techniques to predict the behavior of structural components.
• Work closely with design engineers to provide input on material selection, design changes, and manufacturing processes to optimize structural performance and minimize weight while maintaining safety.
• Support testing and validation efforts, including static and fatigue testing, to validate theoretical analyses.
• Lead technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis results, design recommendations, and compliance to regulatory bodies and customers. Preparing the certification standard report with detailed explanations of procedures followed for analyzing a structure to support PDR and CDR.
• Include all the mitigations and summarize Reserve factor in the report
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (materials, design, systems, etc.) to ensure integrated, efficient, and safe structural designs.
• Identify and address structural performance risks, and provide solutions to improve the overall reliability and performance of aerostructures.
• Participate in customer-facing discussions and presentations related to structural design and analysis.
• Conduct optimization studies to enhance structural efficiency, reduce weight, and improve manufacturability of fuselage components. Explore design alternatives to achieve optimal performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in stress analysis and design of aerostructures, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• In-depth knowledge of structural analysis methods, including finite element modeling (FEM), classical hand calculations, and failure theories.
• Proficient in FEA tools such as NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, including composites, metals, and advanced alloys.
• Experience in the analysis of static, dynamic, fatigue, and fracture mechanics.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems and the integration of structures with other aircraft systems.
• Solid understanding of aerospace regulatory standards and certifications (e.g., FAA, EASA).
