PLSQL Developer

Responsibilities

• Proper knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL SQL.
• Able to create queries to extract data using various SQL commands
• Able to write complex queries keeping in mind the best query tuning practices
• Able to create Oracle Procedures and Packages to extract larger volumes of data
• Able to schedule jobs and monitor them and mitigate failures if any
• Able to grasp existing procedure and packages and provide
  solution to emerging changes
• Able to do proper testing/QC for queries and procedures created.
• Able to deliver projects in a timely manner
• Confirms project requirements by studying user requirements; conferring with others on project team.
• Maintain data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.
• Maintain client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks; participating in technical societies.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Determine changes in physical database by studying project requirements; identifying database characteristics, such as location, amount of space, and access method.
• Changes database system by coding database descriptions.
• Protect database by developing access system; specifying user level of access.
• Maintain user reference by writing and rewriting database descriptions.

SkillS Required

• Oracle, PL SQL, Writing procedures, Scheduling Jobs, Basic knowledge on BI tools
• In depth understanding of RDBMS concepts. Complete hands on experience in SQL (e.g. joins, functions, sub queries, Data Manipulation etc) and PL/SQL programming (e.g. Procedures, packages, functions, exceptions, etc.). SQL tools - SQL Developer, Toad etc.
• Experience on Data Loading and file handling - using SQL loader, UTL_File, External tables, knowledge of advanced PL/SQL programming - Collections, Ref-Cursors, bulk collections etc.
• Preferable experience - Basic DBA knowledge, Basic performance tuning experience, working knowledge of Oracle Apex, Unix/Linux commands and shell / batch scripting.
• Must be self-motivated, responsive, professional and dedicated to customer success, Possess an innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset.
