Job Description
- Leading projects through all internal and external processes
- Managing the project lifecycle from pre-construction to commissioning
- Undertaking responsibility for the overall management of the project scope, schedule and cost
- Handling key project decision-making
- Managing a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule, and cost
- Leading the overall project - coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation
- Leading project meetings
- Developing, updating, and managing the project plan associated with the project lifecycle
- Coordinating communication and providing status updates to stakeholders as required
- Assessing project risk and proactively developing mitigation plans
- Proactively managing project requests for information and action items
- Working collaboratively with the project controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracked to plan
- Ensuring availability or seeking out adequate resources to support the project
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree strongly preferred
- A minimum of 8 years experience in construction project management
- A minimum of 5 years data center project management experience
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems
- PMP certificate desired
- Ability to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
- Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions and consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives
- Proven experience in Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
- Excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Understanding of business environments and processes
- Ability to problem-solve, set priorities and meet goals
- High levels of expertise, commitment, self-confidence and integrity
