General Manager of Operations, India

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Oversee Plant Operations: Take full responsibility for the entire plant, including its construction and day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless functioning of the manufacturing unit.

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to drive expansion, enhance productivity, optimize manpower management, and refine organizational structures.

- Production Excellence: Ensure production targets are met within cost, time, and quality parameters, maintaining high standards across all operations.

- Cross-Functional Coordination Foster collaboration among production, technical, quality, and other departments to ensure smooth workflows and efficient processes.

- Efficiency Optimization Monitor and improve production processes from cutting to sewing, achieving targeted line efficiency and operational excellence.

- Quality Assurance: Uphold the companys commitment to quality by ensuring products meet or exceed buyer expectations.

- Innovation and Improvement: Conceptualize and implement annual improvement plans, focusing on process reengineering, technology absorption, and new product development.

- Cost and Efficiency Management: Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements through process enhancements, providing expert guidance to the production team.

- Production Planning: Ensure timely preparation of production plans aligned with available capacity and market demands.

- Facility Maintenance: Maintain the manufacturing facility to achieve optimal machine availability, efficiency, and utilization.

- Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate the performance of all departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Manpower Optimization: Ensure effective utilization of manpower and foster positive employee relations.

- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular performance reviews and management reports to the Director, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational Background:

- NIFT qualification or a B.Tech degree from a reputed engineering institution.

Experience:

- A minimum of 18+ years of experience in managing a knits apparel sewing plant with at least 1000 machines, with a proven track record of success.

Communication Skills:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Leadership Qualities:

- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams.

Industry Expertise:

- Prior experience working with larger organizations, demonstrating the ability to handle complex operations and drive growth.
