Associate Director - Assessment Monitoring and Insight Risk

he Associate Director will be responsible for leading risk management efforts across multiple business lines and geographies, providing actionable risk insights to stakeholders, and driving process improvements. The role requires a deep understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This global role pans diverse geographical areas and a range of financial sectors such as retail banking, wealth management, transaction banking and capital markets.

Responsibilities:

• Perform risk assessments and design controls to manage risks in the First line of defence.
• Monitor and report on risk and control environments
• Manage issues and events, and escalate as needed
• Provide risk insights to business stakeholders
• Support the development of risk management strategies
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple lines of defence
• Develop and implement risk-based compliance frameworks
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of audit, assurance, and regulatory reviews
• Identify and assess risks, and implement control frameworks to manage them
• Collaborate with teams to anticipate and mitigate risks

Skills:

• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Leadership experience with ability to inspire and influence stakeholders
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to analyze complex data and identify risks
• Strong judgment and ability to balance detail-oriented and big-picture perspectives
• Experience in risk assessment, control design, and monitoring
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Ability to work dynamically across functions and geographies
• Strong project management skills, with ability to oversee and deliver strategic initiatives
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL is a preferred skill to have
• Familiarity with GRC Tools such as RSA Archer, Service Now. Etc. will be a plus
