Job Description


Role: Assistant Manager Business Development 

Team: Ulatus Global (Translation & Localization)
Location: Mumbai

The Assistant Manager Business Development role is part of the Business Development team within the Inside Sales department, with a focus on B2B lead generation, new business acquisition, and account management. The individual will primarily be responsible for identifying and nurturing leads, prospecting for new business opportunities, and supporting the sales pipeline growth within Ulatus Global (Translation & Localization). At the AM level, the role is more focused on the early stages (lead generation, qualification, etc.) with limited involvement in account management. It is the basis for growing and handling the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing and account management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying the B2B target audience, designations, and roles to prospect across different organizations and industries interested in Translation & Localization services.
  • Researching accounts, identifying key decision-makers, and generating interests to have E-meetings/virtual meetings.
  • Reaching out to targeted customers through emails, LinkedIn, and cold calling activities aiming to schedule virtual meetings. 
  • Coordinating and planning email marketing activities for Lead Generation.
  • Drafting content for cold emails, follow ups, and LinkedIn messages. 
  • Checking Email campaign performance and reaching out to Opens & Clicks from the database.
  • Responsible for identifying new B2B business development opportunities, creating, managing and growing new accounts.
  • Maintaining competitor knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding Ulatus’ services and key product differentiation to enable effective dialogue with customers and to build relationships of trust and value.
  • Reporting Sales Performance, maintaining CRM records, and updating data on ongoing opportunities and lead progress.
  • Reporting to the VP – Business Development and updating on lead status, ongoing interested situations, and conversations with customers. 
  • Creating robust sales pipeline through prospecting & head hunting activities, and doing constant follow ups with potential customers. Maintaining customer details in systems/dashboard. 
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements. Coordinating with other teams to provide excellent service to customer.
  • Coordinating with the operations team for generating quotes and sharing them with the customers.
  • Achieving monthly & quarterly quotas for E-Meetings & Revenue Targets.
  • Coordinating with Database team member to discuss about the database requirements and giving feedback. 

Skills Required: 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in B2B sales, lead generation, and inside sales role. 
  • Confident & presentable who can quickly grow to be independent in leading client calls.
  • Willingness to research, understand the market, and acquire new business.
  • Hands on experience on CRM Tools (Salesforce, Hubspot, Pipedrive, or any other).
  • Experience with Sales Automation tools (Linkedin Helper, Dux Soup, Zoominfo, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Email Campaign Platforms (WebEngage, Mailchimp, Zoho, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation skills, relationship building, and target and revenue driven mindset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess market trends, growth possibilities, and areas of concern.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to craft impressive sales messages and proposals, and effectively interact with customers.
  • Knowledge of Email marketing and social selling. 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
