Event and Banquet Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Sales and Revenue Generation:
• Actively source and generate leads through various channels (cold calls, emails, networking, etc.).
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to secure new bookings and repeat business.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Client Coordination:
• Understand client requirements and recommend suitable banquet options, packages, and services.
• Prepare detailed proposals and negotiate contracts to close sales.
• Liaise with clients to ensure a smooth transition from sales to event execution.
• Event Planning and Support:
• Work closely with the banquet and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Provide on-site support during events, addressing client concerns promptly.
• Market Analysis and Strategy:
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the event and banquet industry.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and materials.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, bookings, and feedback in the CRM system.
• Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.
• Financial Management
• Prepare detailed event P&L statements and secure necessary approvals from F&B Controls before submitting proposals.
• Ensure a minimum of 70%, or at least 50%, advance payment is received prior to the event date.
• Follow up diligently to ensure timely payment collection from clients post-event.
• Operational Coordination
• Collaborate with the Central Kitchen team to optimize kitchen utilization, especially during weekends and peak event times.
• Reporting and Documentation
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and feedback in the CRM system.
• Generate and present regular sales and performance reports to management.
• Payment and Financial Discipline
• Take accountability for timely payment collections and adherence to financial protocols.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
