Job Title: Sales Head

Reporting to: CEO

Job Description:

The Sales Head - Modern Trade(MT) will be responsible for driving sales, managing key accounts, and developing strategies to enhance the market presence of the companys premium organic products within the modern trade channel. This role will involve building strong relationships with retail partners, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring alignment with brand positioning in the premium segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Modern Trade(MT) sales strategy & growth plans in line with business strategy
  • Key responsibility as the Head of Modern trade(MT) is to drive profitability and deliver on the Revenue and Category Share parameters.
  • Align and execute trade marketing and trade promotions interventions with the modern trade(MT) sales strategy and overall business strategy.
  • Lead resource for planning portfolio growth initiatives with accounts, assortment planning, launch planning and execution, development and execution of Joint Business Plans.
  • Category management and Promotion planning
  • Driving operational efficiency for modern trade(MT) channel.
  • Monitoring performance and taking corrective actions
  • Responsible for achieving planned sales by channel and customer
  • Achieving consistent growth by managing various internal and external stakeholders
  • Work within allocated promotional cost and ensure effective spending in driving sales and brand building.
  • Lead resource for planning and negotiating for in-store activations, merchandising, sell-out plans with the accounts
  • Negotiate favorable annual trading and logistic contract with chain
  • Provide trade information, competitor's activities and market intelligent to company
  • Manage Accounts receivables, Responsible for debt collection and resolve all long outstanding debts
  • Resolve customer's trade issues, complaints and operational matters.
  • Manage and review outstation outlets through frequent market visit and liaising with local Sales Management
  • Work closely with Marketing head & Executives in achieving the company's objective and vision.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent qualification in sales, marketing or a related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of sales experience in FMCG category, preferably Food category with strong experience in National modern trade(MT) channel & A Class MT Outlets/ retail.
  • Demonstrated selling skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should have directly handled Modern Trade(MT) at corporate level
