Information Architect

Job Summary:

As a part of the C5i, this role requires expertise in data management, information organization, and a deep understanding of both canonical models and enterprise data models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between data assets and information systems, contributing to the organization's strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Data Architecture:

• Develop and maintain robust data models, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Manage databases, including architecture, security, and performance optimization.
• Implement and enhance canonical data models for standardizing data representation.
• Design and implement enterprise data models that align with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the adoption of canonical and enterprise data models.

Information Architecture:

• Design and implement information structures, taxonomies, and content organization strategies.
• Ensure consistency and coherence in how information is organized, accessed, and presented.
• Collaborate with content creators and knowledge managers to meet information needs.

Data and Information Governance:

• Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality and compliance.
• Define and implement information management standards and best practices.
• Canonical and Enterprise Model Expertise:
• Develop and maintain canonical data models to standardize data representation across systems.
• Design and implement enterprise data models that align with business objectives and support scalability.
• Implement and enforce the usage of canonical and enterprise data models in data integration processes.
• Ensure alignment between canonical models, enterprise data models, and overall data architecture.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, content creators, and business stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to ensure data and information-related projects align with architectural standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of experience of working with CPG clients or in a CPG company.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or Information Architect, or in a similar combined role.
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Expertise in information organization, taxonomy, and content management.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
• Experience in developing and implementing canonical and enterprise data models.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Certification in data management or related field.
