Next Gear India Private Limited plays a vital role in CoreLogics Product Development capabilities, focusing on creating and delivering innovative solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Property Restoration industries.

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, availability, and performance of our GCP and Azure cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of cloud environments, troubleshooting issues, implementing automation, and ensuring that our services are secure and highly available.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Operations Management :

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure

• Monitor the health, availability, and performance of cloud resources, identifying potential issues and resolving them proactively.

• Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades, and patch management on cloud resources to ensure reliability and security.

Cloud Monitoring & Optimization :

• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Elastic, Pager Duty, Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to ensure cloud resources are performing optimally.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and work on optimizing system performance, capacity, and cost management.

• Implement and maintain scaling solutions based on cloud load and performance metrics.

Collaboration & Support :

• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated incidents and issues related to cloud infrastructure, services, and DevOps.

• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.

• Identify and resolve issues related to performance, securit y , and availability.

Automation and Scripting :

• Develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations (e.g., using PowerShell, Azure CLI, BICEP, Terraform, or other tools).

• Develop and maintain deployment pipelines for applications and infrastructure using Azure Dev O ps and Jenkins

Job Qualifications:

Education :

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 + years of experience working in cloud operations or a similar role.

• Proven experience with managing, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure App Services.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in cloud services (e.g., App Services, Storage, Networking, Configuration Services, SQL Managed Instances, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of application hosting technologies

• In-depth knowledge of cloud monitoring tools

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI , Python

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and/or Bicep.

• Understanding of networking, security, and identity management.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with .net/c# application development a plus.
