Job Description:
In India, we operate as Next Gear India Private Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of CoreLogic with offices in Kolkata, West Bengal, and Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Next Gear India Private Limited plays a vital role in CoreLogics Product Development capabilities, focusing on creating and delivering innovative solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Property Restoration industries.

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, availability, and performance of our GCP and Azure cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of cloud environments, troubleshooting issues, implementing automation, and ensuring that our services are secure and highly available.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Operations Management :
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure
Monitor the health, availability, and performance of cloud resources, identifying potential issues and resolving them proactively.
Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades, and patch management on cloud resources to ensure reliability and security.
Cloud Monitoring & Optimization :
Set up and manage monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Elastic, Pager Duty, Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to ensure cloud resources are performing optimally.
Identify performance bottlenecks and work on optimizing system performance, capacity, and cost management.
Implement and maintain scaling solutions based on cloud load and performance metrics.
Collaboration & Support :
Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated incidents and issues related to cloud infrastructure, services, and DevOps.
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
Identify and resolve issues related to performance, securit y , and availability.
Automation and Scripting :
Develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations (e.g., using PowerShell, Azure CLI, BICEP, Terraform, or other tools).
Develop and maintain deployment pipelines for applications and infrastructure using Azure Dev O ps and Jenkins
Job Qualifications:
Education :
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 + years of experience working in cloud operations or a similar role.
Proven experience with managing, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure App Services.
Skills:
Strong expertise in cloud services (e.g., App Services, Storage, Networking, Configuration Services, SQL Managed Instances, etc.).
Strong knowledge of application hosting technologies
In-depth knowledge of cloud monitoring tools
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI , Python
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and/or Bicep.
Understanding of networking, security, and identity management.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with .net/c# application development a plus.
