Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Asst. Manager HR And Generalist is responsible for managing core HR functions, including employee engagement, induction programs, payroll processing, HR software administration, and addressing employee issues. The role ensures HR operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company objectives to promote a productive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Employee Engagement:
Design and implement engagement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.

    • Organize events, workshops, and recognition programs to build a positive company culture.
    • Regularly gather employee feedback and address concerns proactively.

Induction and Onboarding:
Develop and conduct comprehensive induction programs for new hires.

    • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience to integrate new employees effectively.
    • Update onboarding materials and processes to reflect company changes.

Payroll Processing:

    • Manage end-to-end payroll processing accurately and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations regarding employee compensation.
    • Maintain payroll records and resolve any payroll-related issues promptly.

HR Software Management:

    • Administer and manage the companys HR software (e.g., HRMS) for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
    • Train employees and managers on using HR software tools effectively.
    • Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with software vendors for support.

Employee Issue Handling:

    • Address employee grievances and conflicts professionally and confidentially.
    • Conduct investigations, propose solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
    • Ensure company policies are communicated clearly and adhered to.

Compliance and Policy Management:

    • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
    • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
    • Conduct audits and ensure all HR activities meet legal and ethical standards.

Reporting and Analytics:

    • Prepare HR reports on metrics such as employee turnover, engagement levels, and payroll accuracy.
    • Analyze HR data to recommend improvements and support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A masters degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
    • Proven experience with employee engagement, payroll processing, and HR software management.

Skills:
Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment laws.

    • Proficiency in HR software and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP).
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
