Oracle Database Administrator :
Responsibilities :
Direct Responsibilities :
1. Responsible for installation, configuration and managing the database (Oracle 19c)servers and applying the security patches.
2. Remediating the vulnerabilities. Database performance tuning.
3. In addition, also provide and maintain the high availability (Clustering) and BCP/DR Recovery database solutions.
4. Responsible to develop ITIP Information Management Dashboards including risk analysis, current projects etc for different functions / clients.
5. Establish excellent working relationships with different functions across various regions.
6. Ensure rigorous follow up and communication to stakeholders on estimated delivery timelines of Projects
7. Analytical mindset in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
8. Good understanding in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
9. Manage and maintain multiple Oracle database instances across development, testing, and production environments.
10. Perform routine database administration tasks including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Database software.
11. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
12. Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment.
14. Assist in database design, schema management, and capacity planning.
15. Provide application upgrade support for minor releases.
16. Assist in debugging of application related issues.
17. Execute DLL for Database objects with scripts provided by apps teams.
18. Provide application database upgrade support
19. Execute data manipulation (insert, update, delete) / Transformation, masking, scrubbing scripts provided by apps/dev team.
20. Provide response Time SLA attainment analysis for all the reported incidents.
21. Check the Top sessions and SQLs using more CPU and high IO.
22. Periodically check the tables without PK or indexes or having more indexes.
23. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
Contributing Responsibilities :
1. Develop assess and select proper strategy for the projects considering performance, Cost, Time and Scope Constraints
2. Responsible to follow up and closing on all risk item identified by IG Audit or any other internal and external audits.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies :
1. Oracle DBA with 12c and 19c experience on RHEL and Windows..
2. Working experience on Cloud is desirable.
3. Experience in core DBA, RAC and Dataguard implementation and monitoring activities and troubleshooting and Database Migration and upgrade activities.
