GrowExx - Oracle Database Administrator - Installation & Maintenance (3-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Perform day-to-day database administration tasks, including :

- Installation, configuration, and patching of Oracle databases

- Performance tuning and optimization (SQL tuning, index management, etc.)

- Backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, Data Guard, etc.)

- Security audits and vulnerability assessments

- Proactively monitor database performance and identify potential issues.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems.

- Leverage Oracle Cloud services (e., Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service) to optimize database performance and cost-effectiveness.

- Understand and utilize cloud-native features and services.

- Migrate on-premises databases to the Oracle Cloud.

- Manage database resources within the cloud environment.

- Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide database-related guidance.

- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure proper network and storage configuration.

- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting languages (e., Python, Shell scripting).

- Develop and maintain database automation frameworks.

- Implement and maintain strong database security measures.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.

- Stay current with the latest Oracle Database technologies, features, and best practices.

- Participate in training and certifications to enhance skills.

Proven experience with :
