Vice President - Engineering (10-15 yrs)

Position : VP Engineering.

Experience : 10+ Years.

Budget : 90 Lakhs to 1.25 Crore Per Annum.

Location : Hyderabad.

Working Mode : 5 Days, WFO (Kondapur HiTech City).

Industry : Finance (Highly Preff).

Tech Stack Overview :

Backend - Linux (Ubuntu), ASP.NET Core, C#, Nginx, MongoDB, EventStoreDB.

Frontend - JavaScript, React.

Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the entire engineering team.

- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

- Architect and design technically robust, flexible, and scalable solutions that meet business goals.

- Collaborate with technical developers to create detailed solutions and document them for stakeholders.

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional work.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that emphasizes continuous learning and growth.

- Establish and implement best practices for development to maintain consistent code quality and efficiency.

- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

- Manage technical debt and develop strategies for its mitigation.

- Partner with other teams (product, design) to ensure seamless collaboration and product alignment.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in FinTech and software development.

- Manage engineering budgets effectively.

Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in software development with a proven track record of success in leading and managing engineering teams.

- 4-6 years of experience in engineering management, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and best practices (CI/CD, DevOps).

- In-depth knowledge of backend technologies (Linux, ASP.NET Core, C#, databases) and frontend frameworks (React, JavaScript).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges.

- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a team of engineers.

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

- Strong business acumen with an understanding of the FinTech industry (highly preferred).

- Self-motivated with a passion for innovation and a drive to achieve results.
