Manager - Design & Development

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee and directs project planning and design coordination. Collaborate with stakeholders and directs architects, engineers, and consultants regarding project planning, design, construction documents and specifications.

• Perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction of Conscient projects.

• Responsible for feasibility study and review and approve design documents at various stages of project development.

• Provide technical direction within engineering design / AutoCAD, building design, layouts, build details, schedules and materials.

• Assist the contract team with negotiating contracts with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when required.

• Manage third party architects, engineers and designers responsible for the work creating the standards.

• Identify opportunities to maximize efficiencies, get the best out of consistencies of the workplace across all regions and identify cost effective opportunities.

• Develop strategic prototypical building solutions which meet or exceed our quality requirements and drive value engineering and standardization across all aspects of the facility.

• Present and facilitate strategic design discussions to top-level executives.

• Collaborate with local regulatory agencies and certification agencies to ensure compliance with state and municipal requirements and building codes.

Job Specification

• Bachelors in architecture from a reputed institute with minimum 9-14 years of proven experience as an Architect and Project Manager. Post-Graduation in construction management would be an added advantage.

• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.

• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

• Visual awareness and an eye for detail.

• Project Management experience for the whole project lifecycle; from design phase through implementation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to handle stressful and high- pressured atmosphere.
