Job Description

Job overview and responsibility.

Strategic:

- Craft and present comprehensive reports to the top management, offering deep strategic insights into key performance metrics, industry trends, and overall trajectory of the Plant Operations.

- Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of standard operating protocols (SOPs), instilling a culture of operational excellence and uniformity across production units.

- Drive continuous operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization across production units.

- Provide strategic direction and leadership for manufacturing operations to align with overall organizational objectives.

- Participate in the development of the Annual Business Plan (ABP), contributing to cost budget preparations and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency improvements.

Functional:

- Production Management and Delivery.

- Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including materials, labor, and equipment, and balance resource availability with production needs.

- Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee the strategic integration of advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity and product quality.

- Ensure contract timelines are met for product delivery, maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

- Lead the implementation of Kaizen and other continuous improvement principles to drive operational excellence across all production units.

- Oversee regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement in scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.

Operational Planning & Coordination:

- Lead the planning and execution of production plans for each unit to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules.

- Ensure production scheduling is optimized for efficiency and to achieve business targets.

- Provide technical input on supply contract feasibility, timelines, and cost estimates to support business acquisition and contract negotiation efforts.

- Oversee the monitoring and management of inventory levels of key raw materials to ensure a consistent supply for uninterrupted production.

Maintenance Management:

- Lead the establishment and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules across all production units.

- Ensure equipment reliability and performance are optimized to minimize downtime and enhance overall production efficiency.

Quality Assurance and Control:

- Lead the establishment and implementation of SOPs for quality standards and testing procedures across all production units.

- Oversee overall quality audit processes and inspections to identify risks, ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and drive continuous improvement in quality processes.

HSE & Compliance:

- Ensure comprehensive safety policies and procedures are implemented across production units and oversee alignment with environmental compliance standards.

- Drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance practices across production units.

People Management:

- Provide dynamic leadership and management to the plant operations teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

- Provide effective and continuous mentorship and feedback to direct reports to help them build better awareness and understanding of their performance and capabilities, and guide and support them in their improvement and developmental efforts.

Required skills and experience:

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

- 15+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on production, quality management, and operational leadership in similar scale (at least 200+ employees at leader level, 1200+ employees at junior, mid, senior level).

- Strong skills in collaboration and networking, with an ability to build and maintain professional relationships across various levels and functions.

- Proficient in people leadership, capable of motivating, mentoring, and developing teams for high performance and growth.

- Excellent strategic thinking abilities, adept at long-term planning, identifying business opportunities, and foreseeing potential challenges.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Skilled in strategic planning and execution, adept at translating strategic goals into actionable plans.

- Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, capable of navigating complex challenges and adapting to changing business landscapes.

- Excellent stakeholder management abilities, including skillful negotiation, expectation management, and building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.

Qualifications:


- Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Civil Engineering.

Preferred skills and experiences:

- MBA qualification is highly desirable.

- Steel manufacturing a group of 7 companies.

- This particular company has 2000 employees for blue and white collar.

Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Saturday to Thursday.

The company will cover the relocation and work permit.

Interview Process:

Round 1 Head of Plant HR: Talent acquisition, Deputy Manager and- External Consultant.

Round 2:- Managing Director,- HR Lead, Learning and Culture Lead; Executive Direct, External Interviewer.

Round 3 Case study Presentation to:- Managing Director; Executive Direct, External Interviewer.

Case study with 1 week to prepare for.

The case will cover a certain scenario with set questions.

A presentation will be prepared by the candidate and held in front of the interviewing board.

The case study will be communicated to Aniday once developed.

Ideal candidate:

- 15+ years of experience in leadership, managing a scale of 200+ engineers, technicians, and support staff.

Type of company: Construction /Manufacturing of steel products.

Company size similar to CIPLC1500+.

Factory size- 1200+.

Age/ background: not important if the individual is competent, energetic, and passionate about his job.

In charge of: 8 manufacturing/ services plants: Tower, Hardware and Fittings, Galvanising, Geotextile, Transformers, SPC Pole, PEB, and Steel Pole >- If the pool of candidates for steel manufacturing is insufficient, we can consider applicants with manufacturing experience who have managed at least 3- plants, as long as they have expertise in the relevant industry.
