Senior SMT & NPI Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• SMT Engineering & NPI: Expertise in SMT process, engineering data (Drawings, BOM, Gerber), and driving NPI projects.
• Technical Expertise: Handling Gerber data, circuit diagrams, PCB models, and mechanical drawings.
• Project Management: Lead NMI for new products, ensuring planning, scheduling, and execution within customer timelines.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Knowledge of testing standards, test fixtures, FCT hardware, and troubleshooting SMT/PCBA issues.
• Vendor & Cost Management: Oversee test fixture and jig fabrication, ensuring efficient vendor coordination and cost control.

Knowledge & Skill Requirement

• NPI Project Management: Planning, execution, and issue resolution for NPI projects.
• Control Circuits & Testing: Mastery of control circuits, test fixtures, and board testing standards.
• Software & Data Management: Proficiency in test software, master databases, and communication protocols.
• Communication & Negotiation: Strong stakeholder interaction and negotiation with customer design groups.
• Problem-Solving & Leadership: Troubleshooting SMT issues, leading teams, and ensuring process accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 3+ years in SMT process, NPI project management, and PCBA testing.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of control circuits, test fixture development, and communication protocols.
• Project Management: Proven ability to plan, schedule, and implement NPI projects while resolving technical issues.
• Problem-Solving & Leadership: Ability to troubleshoot SMT/PCBA issues and lead engineering teams effectively.
• Communication & Negotiation: Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with customer design groups.
