Responsibilities
In this document, Product is synonymous to Digital Products/Digital Assets, Business Applications
1. Drive strategies and long-term vision to build fit-for-purpose digital products supporting Compass Indias
business transformation agenda.
2. Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with business program teams, end users, tech.
partners (program managers, technical architects, product owners, UX designers, tech. delivery leads, test
leads, testers, developers) throughout the product lifecycle to keep the product relevant to Compass needs.
3. Craft product visions (short term, long-term) and convert them to implementable strategies.
4. Participate in market research, and white space analysis to identify and shape up product development
opportunities (both for new as well as existing capability enhancements).
5. Partner with business owners and agile product teams (tech. partners) to deliver digital products.
Primary Deliveries:
1. Manage roadmap and backlog for identified digital products and ensure that Tech. partners deliver capabilities
as per expected velocity (within expected timeline and quality).
2. Drive requirements discovery, detailed requirements capturing (through user story writing, visual
wireframe/mock-up design), solution design workshops, feature development, and user acceptance testing.
3. Perform Pre-UAT testing and application runtime validations on pre-prod and prod environments.
4. Facilitate solving for metadata & master data creation, management exercise in accordance of expected
functioning of the products.
5. Validate technical stories, and technical architecture proposed by tech partners.
6. Plan and execute pilots and roll outs for identified products.
7. Prepare delivery governance reports and dashboards, minute, track & drive action closure as per plan.
8. Design and document product usability playbooks, facilitate product training and adoption of the products.
9. Perform requisite level of research and analysis of COTS products for business requirement fitment (in terms of
functionality and usability relevance, technology, infrastructure, information security,
interoperability/integration with compass data hub, commercial viability)
10. Facilitate products stages from build, to hyper care to run and facilitate defect fixing throughout the product
lifecycle, including incident and problem management during the run phase.
11. Own Risk register for all identified Products.
12. Continually drive product backlog prioritization across the entire product lifecycle.
13. Work with Digital Product Leadership Team for product positioning, messaging.
14. Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continual iteration and improvement.
15. Ideate, design and drive prototyping initiatives to substantiate problem solving ideas needing prototyping.
16. Own design, development and execution of Customer Demo strategy.
