As we grow, we're seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to provide critical legal guidance, ensure compliance with evolving crypto regulations, and support our mission of transforming the DeFi ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Advisory:

- Monitor and interpret global regulations related to cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital assets, including AML, KYC, and token offerings.

- Advise the leadership team on legal risks and opportunities associated with crypto wallets, DeFi, and blockchain-based business models.

- Ensure compliance with data protection laws, including GDPR and other relevant standards for blockchain technologies.

Contract & Transaction Management:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including investment agreements, token sales, partnership agreements, and licensing contracts.

- Provide legal oversight for fundraising efforts, ensuring deal structures comply with applicable laws and align with business goals.

- Manage legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and venture capital transactions within the blockchain space.

Corporate Governance:

- Establish and maintain robust governance policies for CoinCrowd.

- Provide counsel on intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights for blockchain innovations.

- Support the creation and maintenance of legal frameworks for tokenomics and smart contracts.

Risk Mitigation:

- Develop strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks associated with blockchain and cryptocurrency operations.

- Oversee due diligence processes for investors and startups to ensure legal and regulatory alignment.

- Stay ahead of industry developments to proactively address legal challenges and opportunities in the crypto ecosystem.

Required Qualifications:

- Legal qualification with a focus on technology, fintech, or corporate law.

- 7+ years of legal experience, with a minimum of 3 years in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech sectors.

- Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks governing digital assets, including securities laws, token regulations, and smart contracts.

- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex agreements related to digital assets and blockchain technology.

- Excellent understanding of corporate governance and intellectual property laws in the context of crypto and blockchain businesses, focusing majorly on US, UAE and India markets.

- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with blockchain technology, smart contract programming, and tokenomics.

- Experience with decentralized governance (DAOs) and DeFi protocols.

- Background in venture capital, private equity, or M&A transactions within the fintech space.

- Certification in blockchain law or related fields is a plus.
