Manager - Simulation

Role Overview:

The Manager - Simulation leads the development of robotic simulation models and digital twins to optimize system performance before deployment.

This role ensures that robot motion, cycle times, and collision detection are validated virtually, reducing risks and improving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Robotic Simulation & Digital Twin Development:

• Create virtual models of robotic automation systems using RobotStudio, Process Simulate, Delmia, or RoboGuide.
• Develop digital twins for cycle time analysis, collision detection, and motion optimization.
• Simulate and validate robot tool paths, pick-and-place sequences, and welding trajectories.

2. Motion Planning & Optimization:

• Optimize robot path planning to reduce cycle time and improve throughput.
• Conduct payload balancing, acceleration control, and motion smoothing.
• Analyze robot reach, workspace constraints, and fixture positioning.

3. Integration & Virtual Commissioning:

• Simulate PLC logic and robot interaction for virtual commissioning.
• Integrate vision systems, force sensors, and conveyor tracking into simulations.
• Perform off-line programming (OLP) for industrial robots and ensure smooth deployment on-site.

4. Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with the design, software, and production teams to ensure simulation accuracy.
• Document simulation parameters, test results, and optimization strategies.
• Train engineers on best practices for simulation and digital twin applications.

Key Skills Required:

• Expertise in robot simulation software like RobotStudio, Process Simulate, and Delmia.
• Deep understanding of robotic kinematics, motion planning, and cycle time optimization.
• Experience with off-line programming (OLP) and virtual commissioning.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, PLC integration, and sensor-based simulation.
• Ability to analyze and optimize multi-robot work cells and factory layouts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Robotics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in robotic simulation and digital twin development.
• Experience in industrial automation projects involving multi-robot coordination.
