Manager - Production

Role Overview:

The Manager - Production is responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing and assembly process of robotic automation systems. This includes mechanical, electrical, and control panel assembly, ensuring high-quality production while optimizing efficiency and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution:

• Develop production schedules based on project timelines and customer requirements.
• Oversee the manufacturing and assembly of robotic automation systems, control panels, and fixtures.
• Ensure that robotic arms, end-effectors, and material handling systems are assembled to precise specifications.
• Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

2. Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure all assemblies meet ISO, CE, and safety compliance standards.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for mechanical tolerances, wiring accuracy, and system calibration.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for robotic system assembly and testing.

3. Coordination & Collaboration:

• Work closely with the design, simulation, and software teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate with the installation and service teams to ensure smooth deployment.
• Manage supplier and vendor relationships for procurement of robotic components and materials.

4. Team Leadership & Training:

• Lead a team of assembly fitters, welders, electricians, and technicians.
• Conduct training programs for assembly technicians on robotic system integration and troubleshooting.

Key Skills Required:

• Expertise in robotic automation system assembly and production management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
• Knowledge of robotic systems, servo motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing/production management in industrial automation.
• Experience in robotic system assembly, control panel wiring, and commissioning.
