Creating and Managing DB2 objects like Databases Table spaces Tables Indexes etc

in Production and development regions

Performed data maintenance using LOAD UNLOAD REORG and RUNSTATS

Monitoring health check jobs like Imagecopy Runstats DDL DML reports etc

Converting Segmented and Partitioned table spaces into UTS

Rebalancing of Partitions

Space Management and Monitoring

Performed End-to-End Release activities

Prepared test environments and performed data refresh

Identified problematic SQL and optimized SQL queries that helped improve application performance

BIND/REBIND plan and packages

Creating and scheduling utilities like COPY Reorg RUNSTATS and QUIESCE

Running Adhoc Reorgs Runstats and Rebinds in Productions Environment

Altering of DB2 Objects on Production and Test Environments

Implementing and scheduling production DB2 jobs

Converting the deprecated Tablespace to Universal Tablespace (UTS)

Knowledgeable of IBM IMS utilities and familiar with BMC IMS utilities

Create modify and maintain IMS database descriptions

Add remove and re-org database records as needed

Monitor and maintain IMS database performance

Application support issues that involve IMS databases

Assist application programmers on DBRC issues in the test environment
Research and resolve DBRC related abends in the production environment
Refresh Dev/Test databases with prod backup images as requested

Good to have knowledge of DB2 DBA on Z/OS and Optional skillset of TableBase CA File master IMS DB2 client DB2 gateway servers

Provided 24/7 production support on rotation basis
