Hardware Designer Manager

Role and Responsibilities

• The role requires hands-on involving architecture, schematics, layout reviews, vendor interaction, cross functional team interaction including interaction with Firmware, mechanical and bring-up testing.
• Evaluate and define requirements in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with a complete life cycle of Hardware product development.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team during design, development, testing and validation.
• Lead technical reviews of the schematics, PCBs & BOM to support development process and ensure technical integrity of hardware deliverables.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate industry trends and advancements to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during the development and testing phases.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all hardware designs and modifications.
• Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality designs within set deadlines.
• Comply with all internal and external regulations and standards related to hardware design and development.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
• Continuously strive for process improvement and implement best practices for hardware design and development.
• Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and solutions for improved hardware designs.

Technical Skills

• Excellent knowledge in designing mixed embedded system design (analog and digital) with different sensing designs using voltages, current, pressure, etc.
• Sound knowledge about FPGAs, microprocessors, architectural circuit design and different micro-controller circuit designs.
• Experience in Analog design – Opamps, signal conditioning, ADC, DAC and Filter designs.
• Excellent knowledge in Power Supplies Designs
• Excellent knowledge in Signal integrity analysis
• Sound Digital design skills and having design knowledge on different communications UART, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, Ethernet TCP/IP
• Preferred Knowledge in circuit simulators and analysis tools – SPICE, PSPICE and HSPICE.
• Exposure to interfaces like PCIe/ DDRx/LPDDRx/NAND/NOR is desirable.
• Good understanding of different product development stages, Manufacturing and EMI/EMC, Environmental and Safety Testing and Certifications
• Familiar with the latest hardware testing equipment, oscilloscopes and logic analyzer
• Familiar with board layout, schematic capture, vendor interface analysis and simulation.
• Knowledge in MTBF, DFMEA, Derating Analysis.
• Debugging Skills, root cause analysis.
