Manager - Accounts & Finance - Manufacturing Firm (5-9 yrs)

Position Summary : Responsible for managing and executing customer quoting activities and providing key account information to the company. Major areas of responsibility include gathering tool/piece costs, developing internal cost structures, supporting feasibility studies for Shape products, and interfacing with the customer as needed.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:

- Manage activities associated with the 'Quoting of Business' process, including audits in preparation for supplier submission.

- Assist Business Unit Leaders with budgeting and various financial functions.

- Accurately forecast sales using company processes and systems.

- Provide information regarding commercial concerns to appropriate Business Unit Leadership.

- Help drive profit improvement from business/job award to end of production.

- Support strategic initiatives for global growth and process improvement, working with CME on Value Stream optimizations.

- Support APD/R&D projects as requested.

- Train and mentor other AFM team members (may be required to manage day to day responsibilities of less experienced AFMs).

- Identify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

- Minimum of five years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.

- Prior experience with relevant manufacturing processes, e.g., Rollforming, Stamping, Welding, Injection Molding, etc.

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.

- Strong time management skills with ability to balance multiple tasks within tight timeframes.

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Applications.

- Advanced proficiency with a business ERP system.

- Solid understanding of international financial metrics, currency exchange, VAT, etc.

- Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across career levels.

- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

- Prior experience coaching or mentoring other team members
