Roles & Responsibilities :
Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements of the entire Group. The role involves managing the day-to-day financial operations, analyzing financial data, developing budgets, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure proper cash flow management to meet the organizations operational needs.
- Review and approve payments, payroll, and invoices.
Accounts Management:
- Supervise and review the work of the accounts team to ensure accurate record-keeping and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.
- Oversee tax compliance, including GST, VAT, TDS, corporate taxes, and timely filing of returns.
- Maintain a fixed asset register and oversee asset management processes.
- Participate and manage ERP implementation process.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organizations financial assets.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic planning.
- Prepare financial models and business scenarios to aid in decision-making.
- Manage Due diligence readiness and support for Financial, Legal and Tax DDR.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate reporting.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications like CA, MBA are highly preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounts management (preferably in Automotive industry or EPC industry).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (ERPNext experience would be an added advantage)
