Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Siebel Administrator to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Siebel installation, configuration, server management, and performance tuning. The role involves managing Siebel components, handling server maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth operations.

Desired Skills and Experience :

Experience :

- 6 to 8 years of experience in Siebel administration.

- Siebel IP17 and above (preferably IP20.6) version experience.

- Experience in Siebel Server Management, User Creation, Capacity Planning, and Optimization.

- Knowledge of Siebel Architecture and Data Model for IP17 and higher versions.

Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in Siebel Configuration, Code Migration, Repository Migration, and Non-Repository Migration.

- Proficiency in Linux Commands, Unix Shell Scripting, and PLSQL.

- Experience in Performance Tuning and Handling Critical Server Issues.

- Familiarity with various Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX).

- Experience with FTP, EMS System, applying SSL Certificates, and managing user accounts.

Core Responsibilities :

- Server Maintenance : Responsible for maintaining Siebel servers for all environments, including code migration to production and lower environments.

- Patching and Vulnerability Management : Handle regular patching activities and resolve vulnerability defects.

- Job/Task Monitoring : Monitor the status and handling of JOBs, RCRs, and other tasks.

- Resource Monitoring : Monitor server resources like CPU, memory, and disk space to ensure optimal performance.

- Log Analysis : Analyze logs and handle component crashes (preferably experience in troubleshooting and resolving component failures).

- Automation : Automate processes through scripts using Unix/Shell scripting.

- Workspace Management : Address workspace issues related to code migration and troubleshooting.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for server performance and application issues.
