Technical Lead - Node.js/React.js (5-8 yrs)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Tech Lead who is highly customer-focused and possesses strong leadership skills to manage and oversee the delivery of technical projects. The ideal candidate should have full-stack development experience and have transitioned into a leadership role. This position is project management oriented rather than a pure technical architect role, focusing on gathering requirements, making independent decisions, and driving project success.

The Tech Lead will be responsible for architecture and estimation of project requirements and ensuring the smooth execution of the project, particularly in the Insurance domain.

Key Responsibilities :

Customer Interaction :

- Engage with clients to gather and refine requirements, ensuring all aspects of the project are understood and well-defined.

Project Management :

- Oversee the day-to-day execution of projects, ensuring that timelines, resources, and quality are maintained.

- Handle the project from scratch, including solution architecture.

Team Leadership: Manage a team of 15-20 developers, providing mentorship, support, and direction to ensure efficient project delivery.

Full-Stack Development :

- Guide the development of applications using React.js and Node.js, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

Architecture & Estimation :

- Design and estimate the architecture for the project, working with stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.

Solution Architecture :

- Create and implement solution architectures for the project, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Project Estimation :

- Provide time and effort estimates for project milestones, setting realistic expectations with clients and teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with various teams (UX/UI, backend, QA, etc.) to ensure smooth integration and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- 5 - 8 years in software development with at least 2-3 years in a Team Lead or Tech Lead position.

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in React.js (Frontend), Node.js (Backend), and overall Full-Stack Development.

Leadership Skills :

- Proven experience in leading teams of 15-20 members, with the ability to mentor and motivate.

Project Management :

- Experience in managing projects from start to finish, including solution architecture and estimation.

Domain Expertise :

- Preferably experience in the Insurance domain or other regulated industries.

Problem-Solving Skills :

- Ability to make independent decisions, handle complex technical challenges, and provide innovative solutions.

Communication :

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Tools/Technologies :

- Experience with MERL/MEAL frameworks is desirable.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Agile Methodologies : Experience working in an Agile environment, including Scrum or Kanban.

- Cloud Technologies : Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- CI/CD Practices : Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
