Oracle Consultant - OTM/GTM Modules (5-9 yrs)

An OTM (Oracle Transportation Management)/GTM (Global Trade Management) Techno-Functional Consultant bridges the gap between technical implementation and functional requirements of Oracle's OTM and GTM platforms. This role involves configuring the systems, developing custom solutions, and ensuring they meet business needs for transportation, logistics, and trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirements Gathering :

- Work with business stakeholders to understand and document functional requirements for transportation and trade management processes.

- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications for system implementation.

System Configuration :

- Configure OTM and GTM applications, including workflows, business rules, planning parameters, and compliance settings.

- Set up master data, including carriers, lanes, trade partners, and customs rules.

Development and Customization :

- Develop custom extensions, workflows, and automation scripts using Oracle technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL, and Java.

- Create and maintain interfaces, integrations, and reports using APIs, XML, and middleware tools.

Integration Management :

- Integrate OTM/GTM with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP), WMS, and other third-party applications.

- Manage data flows between OTM/GTM and external systems for shipment tracking, customs, and compliance.

Testing and Quality Assurance :

- Perform unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for configurations, customizations, and integrations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in OTM/GTM functionality and interfaces.

Support and Maintenance :

- Provide post-implementation support, resolving issues and optimizing system performance.

- Monitor system logs and performance metrics, implementing enhancements as needed.

Reporting and Analytics :

- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics for transportation, logistics, and compliance metrics.

- Provide insights to stakeholders for decision-making.

Compliance and Best Practices :

- Ensure OTM/GTM solutions comply with global trade regulations and organizational policies.

- Advocate for and implement best practices in transportation and trade management processes.

Documentation and Training :

- Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, customizations, and technical processes.

- Provide training to end-users and technical teams on OTM/GTM functionalities and workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Functional Knowledge :

- Strong understanding of transportation management processes, including planning, routing, carrier management, and freight settlement.

- In-depth knowledge of trade compliance processes, including customs documentation, denied party screening, and export/import compliance.

Technical Expertise :

- Hands-on experience in OTM/GTM configurations and customizations.

- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, XML, Java, and web services for development and integration.

- Experience with middleware tools (e.g., Oracle SOA Suite, MuleSoft) for system integrations.

- Enhancements with in OTM/GTM, support on new releases from Oracle - upgrades

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience with Oracle OTM/GTM as a techno-functional consultant.

- Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.

- Certification in Oracle OTM/GTM or related supply chain tools.

- Experience in global trade regulations and compliance requirements.
