Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Finance Consultant to join our team and provide functional expertise in Oracle EBS R12 applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and supporting Oracle EBS Financial modules and will play a key role in providing functional guidance and ensuring the successful execution of Oracle EBS solutions for our clients. This role requires a solid understanding of financial business processes, along with hands-on experience in Oracle EBS implementation and support, especially for financial modules (GL, AR, AP, CM, FA, iExpenses), and India Localization & GST modules.
Key Responsibilities :
Oracle EBS Finance Modules Expertise :
1. Implement and support Oracle EBS Financial modules (GL, AR, AP, CM, FA, iExpenses) in line with business requirements.
2. Provide functional expertise in areas of Finance business processes, including month-end closing, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
3. Support and troubleshoot functional issues related to finance and accounting modules and provide solutions to resolve issues promptly.
End-to-End Implementation :
1. Lead and support at least two full end-to-end implementations of Oracle EBS R12, from requirement gathering and design to testing and post-production support.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between Oracle EBS Finance modules and other Oracle EBS modules such as SCM (Supply Chain Management).
Functional Documentation & Testing :
1. Develop functional specification documents (FSD) for customizations, interfaces, and reports.
2. Create and execute comprehensive test cases and scripts for functional and technical testing during development and patching activities.
3. Ensure end-to-end testing of the system, identifying and resolving issues to ensure system stability and performance.
Custom Solutions and Data Migration :
1. Provide functional guidance to the development team in designing custom solutions to meet business requirements.
2. Support and guide data migration activities, including data validation and reconciliation across different environments.
India Localization & GST :
1. Possess a strong understanding of India Localization features in Oracle EBS, including GST (Goods and Services Tax) modules, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
2. Work closely with the client to ensure that Oracle EBS meets legal and regulatory requirements for Indian businesses.
Month-End and Reporting :
1. Manage month-end closing activities within Oracle EBS, ensuring accurate financial data and reporting.
2. Support the creation and customization of financial reports in Oracle EBS, including balance sheets, income statements, and other management reports.
Client Interaction and Training :
1. Engage with clients to understand their financial processes and provide functional solutions that align with their requirements.
2. Provide functional training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively use Oracle EBS Financial modules.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience :
6-8 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Applications R12, specifically Oracle EBS Financial modules.
At least two full end-to-end implementations of Oracle EBS R12, covering all phases from planning to post-production support.
Functional Expertise :
1. Expertise in Oracle EBS Financial modules : GL (General Ledger), AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable), CM (Cash Management), FA (Fixed Assets), and iExpenses.
2. Solid understanding of Oracle EBS Supply Chain modules (optional but a plus).
Documentation & Testing :
1. Proven experience in creating functional specification documents (FSD), developing test cases and test scripts, and conducting end-to-end testing for development and patching activities.
India Localization & GST :
1. Familiarity with India Localization and GST modules is essential for this role.
Finance Knowledge :
1. Strong understanding of finance business processes, including month-end tasks, financial reporting, and accounting practices.
PL/SQL Skills :
1. Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL is preferred, especially for custom reports, data migrations, and troubleshooting.
Soft Skills :
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and technical teams.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills :
1. Oracle PL/SQL knowledge for writing reports and handling data migration.
2. Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials or any other cloud-based finance solutions is a plus.
