Power BI Developer (8-12 yrs)

Role : Power BI Developer

Location : Remote

Responsibilities :

BI Projects :

- Manage end-to-end Power BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Data Modelling and Analysis :

- Design and develop data models and schemas in Power BI.

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.

- Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

Dashboard and Report Development :

- Create interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.

- Implement best practices in data visualization and storytelling.

- Customize and enhance Power BI visuals as per business needs.

Integration with Snowflake and SQL Server :

- Connect Power BI with Snowflake and SQL Server databases. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.

- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines.

Semantic Layer and Incremental Refresh :

- Design and manage semantic layers to provide a unified view of data.

- Implement incremental refresh strategies to optimize data load and query performance. Ensure seamless integration and data consistency across different systems.

Team Leadership and Collaboration :

- Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts.

- Foster a collaborative environment to drive innovation and efficiency.

- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

Quality Assurance and Performance Tuning :

- Conduct thorough testing to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

- Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling and DAX queries.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data sources.

Nice to Have :

Knowledge on Tableau Model and Development Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Over 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and data visualization, with a focus on Power BI.

- Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL Server, and other relational databases.

- Proven experience in designing and managing semantic layers.

- Proficient in implementing incremental refresh in Power BI.

- Excellent skills in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience leading and mentoring BI teams.
