Qualification:
Essential: Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field) full time from reputedinstitute.
Desirable:- Degree/Certification Course in Operation / General Management ora masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CMMS, Six Sigma) ispreferred.
Experience:
Essential:- 14 to 18 Years ofexperience of Plant Maintenance with at least 8 years in a leadershiprole in the Manufacturing
Desirable : - At least 5 years of Furnace andCasting experience is a must. Should be expert in Hydraulics.
Experiencein Erection and Commissioning of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment in projectStage
Experiencein material handling equipments like metallic conveyors, rubber conveyors etc.
Experiencein mobile equipments like loadal forklifts etc.
Job Profile: -
TheHead of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the entire maintenancefunction within the organization. This role involves ensuring that allmachinery, equipment, and facilities are operating efficiently and effectively, and that maintenance activities are carried out in a timely and cost-effectivemanner. The Head of Maintenance will lead a team of maintenance professionalsand work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
MaintenanceStrategy:
Developand implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure maximumoperational efficiency and minimal downtime.
Establishpreventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Monitorand optimize maintenance processes to reduce costs and improve equipmentreliability.
TeamManagement:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and otherstaff.
Providetraining and development opportunities to the maintenance team.
Conductperformance reviews and set clear goals for team members.
Equipmentand Facility Management:
Overseethe maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, and facilities withinthe organization.
Ensurethat all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Collaboratewith production and other departments to ensure minimal disruption tooperations.
BudgetManagement:
Prepareand manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficientallocation of resources.
Monitorexpenditures and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on qualityor safety.
VendorManagement:
Selectand manage relationships with external contractors and service providers.
Negotiatecontracts and ensure that service agreements are met.
Health, Safety, and Environment:
Ensurethat all maintenance activities adhere to health, safety, and environmentalregulations.
Implementsafety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
Reportingand Documentation:
Maintainaccurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
Prepareregular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such asdowntime, costs, and equipment reliability.
ContinuousImprovement:
Identifyopportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance practices and implementinitiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stayupdated on the latest maintenance technologies and best practices.
