Job Specification : Test Delivery Lead

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Test Delivery Lead to oversee the quality assurance process within our Quality Engineering function in IH Technology. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by driving collaboration with Scrum team members, optimizing testing practices, and embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and implement a comprehensive testing strategy that aligns with agile principles in coordination with Test Enabling Function Leads.

- Lead and mentor a distributed team of manual and automation testers in Functional and Non-Functional Testing areas in alignment with business goals.

- Drive agility, productivity, quality and cost effectiveness of testing services within Value Streams in collaboration with the Product Managers, Development Leaders, Architects CIOs and Release Train Engineers

- Actively participate in PI planning, and retrospectives to integrate testing with development processes.

- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple Agile Release Trains to maintain consistency and efficiency.

- Manage the testing lifecycle, including test strategy, test scenarios/cases design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

- Implement and monitor performance, security, and API testing as part of the testing strategy.

- Drive the adoption of test automation and continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.

- Partner with developers to implement shift-left testing practices and test-driven development (TDD).

- Establish right sized team with appropriate skills at optimum cost across Value Streams

- Work with the stakeholders and drive continuous improvement mindset

- Ensure test coverage across all functional and non-functional aspects of the software.

- Identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks and issues affecting the delivery of quality software.

Required Qualifications :

Educational and Experience Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 15 years testing experience covering all aspects Manual and Automated testing in functional and non-functional context

- Must have 5 years of experience of leading large and distributed testing teams (50+ FTEs)

Technical Skills :

- Extensive experience with test automation tools (e.g., AccelQ, Selenium, UFT, Cypress, JUnit) and frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Agile and DevOps Expertise :

- In-depth understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.

- Proven ability to integrate testing processes within DevOps pipelines.

Leadership and Collaboration :

- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.

- Experience mentoring and developing QA professionals in agile settings.

- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory) :

- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or equivalent.

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist certification.

- Certifications in testing tools or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
