The Director of Admissions & Placements is a pivotal role, responsible for devising and executing a comprehensive strategy to optimize admissions and placements across all our campuses in India. This senior leadership position requires an individual with extensive experience in higher education admissions and placements, preferably within the design, fashion and/or gems and jewellery sector.
The Director will be responsible for driving admissions from high school and under-graduate colleges, work in collaboration with the gems & jewellery industry to secure mandates for education and training assignments, establish competitive advantage against other market players, execute innovative sales and marketing strategies, be responsible for meeting/exceeding the annual budgets for admission and placements, and establish strong industry relationships to ensure successful student placements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Vision and Planning:
- Develop a robust admissions and placements strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and expansion targets.
- Discern market dynamics, trends, and potential, optimizing market share.
2. Admissions Oversight:
- Supervise the admission process for all campuses, ensuring a transparent, student-centric approach.
- Collaborate with various departments to deliver a seamless admission experience for prospective students.
3. Competitive Analysis:
- Continuously scrutinize and assess the performance of competitors within the education sector.
- Utilize market insights to foster data-driven decision-making and adapt our strategies proactively.
4. Sales and Marketing Leadership:
- Conceptualize and implement cutting-edge sales and marketing strategies to attract students from diverse backgrounds.
- Harness various marketing channels, digital platforms, and strategic partnerships to reach the target audience effectively.
5. Market Intelligence:
- Furnish management with in-depth market insights, encompassing feedback on program offerings, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Offer insights and recommendations on avenues to maximize market share and growth.
6. Achieve Annual Targets:
- Establish and monitor annual targets for admissions and placements, driving efforts to meet or surpass them.
- Formulate action plans and engage in close cooperation with campus leaders and teams to realize these goals.
7. Industry Collaboration:
- Cultivate robust relationships within the gems and jewelry industry, forging key alliances to ensure students are well- prepared for the job market.
- Facilitate internships, placements, and career advancement opportunities for students.
8. Team Leadership:
- Construct and lead a high-performing admissions and placements team.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to team members.
9. Placement Success:
- Design and implement effective placement strategies to ensure students are successfully placed in reputable companies with suitable job profiles and competitive salary levels.
- Provide career counselling and guidance to students, preparing them for interviews and professional life.
10. Reporting and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain detailed reports on admissions and placement activities.
- Analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

- Proven success in consistently achieving and surpassing admissions and placements targets.
- Profound knowledge of the education sector and market dynamics.
