- The Financial Controller for the Indian business will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities, including planning, reporting, and controlling, to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with statutory regulations.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management and a deep understanding of the Indian business environment.
- Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting and AnalysisOversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Continuous improve the reporting and forecasting process to shorten lead time and improve accuracy.
- Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, including variance analysis and cost control.
- Cash Flow and Treasury Management:Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic goals.
- Manage utilization of bank facilities, including but not limited to working capital facilities and bank guarantees, and continuously optimize in credit limits and charges.
- Oversee banking relationships and ensure effective cash management practices.
- Compliance and Governance:Ensure compliance with Indian financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, and delegation of authority matrix to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Team LeadershipLead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Ensure effective training and development of finance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Liaise with HQ and other country finance teams, as well as other departments, to ensure alignment and coordination.
- Communicate financial performance and key metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related subject
- Professional Qualification like CA, ACCA or CPA is a must
- Minimum 12 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a multinational company setting, reporting to CFO/HQ outside of India.
- Experience is setting up processes, policies and enterprise/finance/accounting systems.
