Senior Accountant

Common Duties

• Month/Year End close activities

• Co-ordinate and liaise with Line of Business/Affiliates .

• A lways e nsuring meeting SLA terms and Conditions .

• Ensure all reports are collated and sen t across on time.

• Ensure compliance with policies and practices.

• Perform th o rough quality assurance on documents to ensure consistency and quality is maintained throughout.

• Driving the team in the team events / initiatives

• Performing the team building activities

Roles and responsibilities will be combination of below.

General ledger

• Assist the accounting department in daily bookkeeping activities.

• Ensur e monthly/quarterly/ yearly financial close is performed in good quality considering internal rules and the policies of the organization.

• Correct and timely posting of the accruals and journals to record the cost in the books.

• Provide necessary financial information to controllers and LOBs based on the request received.

• Perform financial analysis and support in operational metrics tracking.

• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports.

• Ensure the delivery of reliable and timely information to the LOB.

• Report any discrepancies or potential fraud issues to appropriate department heads.

Asset Management

• Perform all controls and ensure policies are adhered around fixed assets .

• Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system.

• Record project costs into fixed asset accounts and ensure timely settlement .

• Track project costs to ensure accuracy in booking .

• Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.

• Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist auditors in their inquiries.

• Coordinat e with external/internal auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.

• Support physical verification of assets to reconcile with ledger .

• Review financial statements to ensure assets are properly recorded.

Projects

• Actively contribute towards strategic initiatives and special projects when assigned or required .

• Degree in Accounting / Finance and strong knowledge of accounting .

• Min 6 - 8 years of work experience in the respective domain or in a related financial domain and good knowledge of accounting fundamentals

• Strong MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Power point Word .

• P referably SAP or any other ERP application .

• Good English communication to be able to do written and oral communication effectively with stakeholders .

• Analysis for Office / Power BI / Visio .

• Exposure in Automation and RPA .

• Desirable (Good to have)

• Macro / Knime / RPA Tools

• IFRS Knowledge
